Source of hazard map: Prepared by GSI and published by Kerala SDMA (https://sdma.kerala.gov.in/hazard-maps/).
Landslide point data and location accuracy: The landslide point data has been compiled from two all-India databases. Some entries may therefore be duplicated, and some of the published locations are not precise, as indicated by the number of decimal places in their coordinates. Only locations with coordinates given to at least four decimal places are shown. The locations should be treated as indicative. A field visit and local enquiry are required to confirm the occurrence of a landslide, and the absence of a record does not mean that no landslide has occurred. Users are advised to open the mine boundary and the landslide points in Google Earth using the “Open in Google Earth (KML)” button, check the historical imagery of the relevant year, and verify the site for themselves.
